Concrete jungle where dreams are made of...

ello ello

yes, i'm back from New York...

and i had a pretty awesome time actually!

Yep, am quite surprised about that

as i generally dislike cities...

( what can i say, i'm still a country bumpkin

even though I've been living in Melbourne for 25+ years...

go figure? )

The highlight of the trip was seeing my art idol

                         Jean-Michel Basquiat's artwork

                                                                               at MOMA

( Museum of Modern Art )

                                   and the other highlight...

having Larry David casually stroll into a quiet cafe

i was sitting at in Brooklyn...

( u really can't get any more New York than a Larry David sighting can u ? )

( and for those that aren't quite sure who Larry David is,

he was the co creator of Seinfeld and creator/lead actor in Curb Your Enthusiasm )

                                                  Anyway, enough yacking

                               below are some images

                                             ( among the hundreds i took )

that i thought were 'post worthy'

...and all my fellow Seinfeld nuts would have picked up the reference there ;)

Right: me in a trance and going ga-ga over Basquiat's artwork, Glenn, at MOMA

( btw - please don't judge me for the shirt flung over shoulder...it was stinking hot in NY okay! )

Below are a couple of experimental works (in progress)

that have been painted on ply wood...

Both pieces have a bit of a street art feel to them which just happened really,

it was not at all intentional...
